Lucy Hawthorne

Lucy resides in Minneapolis, but her heart is in the North Woods of Minnesota.

She took her first canoe ride when she was just six weeks old, and ventured into the Boundary Waters with her parents and brothers not long after that. Portaging and paddling through the pristine lakes that dot the borders of Minnesota and Canada remains a favorite past time.

Nowadays, as a photographer living in the Twin Cities, she counts the days between trips when she can be back in the water and the hiking through the woods Up North, in the BWCA, or along the North Shore, and hopes to do everything she can to help protect the natural world for generations to come.
